Site Updates!

4/02/2025

Just another small update for my site!

I managed to create another container, "Goals", which is my ambitions for what I want to create next within my website (or though, I wouldn't say it was completely set in stone ^_^")

This is where I renamed both containers "Goals" & "Updates", to "Box". Why I've done this is because I didn't want to reuse the same CSS code for different divs and the bigger reason is for me to figure out how to place them side-by-side without screwing it up. It might not be perfect compared to other websites, but hey, I am still learning!

Side note, this is where I've just noticed that the "display: flex" wasn't in my main div, so I managed to add that in and fix that one up quickly!

And the last thing I've updated is my banner! (This banner is probably still a placeholder lol)

Big update, I figured out how to use "Media Query" properly, and now I have a better idea how my site will look on mobile devices. And creating the "Site-update" container, so now, I can easily update my progress for my site as I go!

Still trying to figure out how to center line the gifs along with the text. I feel like I have wasted a lot of time on this, however, I do believe once I master it I can place images wherever I like.

Other small changes I've made is using a different font that better suits my website now, and changing the style and size of the navigation bar.

My next goal is making the "Goals" container and adding new HTML pages for my site.

At this point, I went through all of sadgrl's tutorials for HTML, CSS and extra snippets to help me figure out how to structure my website properly and referencing the layout builder sadgrl has made.

This is where I made my first header, (right now the image is just a place holder). Initially I had a lot of trouble at the beginning, as I wanted the header to be a particular size and is compatible with mobile devices.

And I also managed to create my container for my main-menu, which is just a gray border right now. Currently it has two place holders of the Maxwell gif along with a "WIP" heading. My next goal is figuring out how to properly center things within this container.

Getting back into my website for real now! The first thing I've done is making the navigation bar and creating a "WIP" HTML page to test that the links worked!

I still using the Maxwell gif as a place holder while I code, which actually helped as I was creating my main center div.

I also attempted to code in dots for my background using HTML and CSS, but that was a waste of time. In the end I used a png image which I quickly made in Clip Studio Paint.

My website is born! The first thing I did is relearning the very basic of HTML, while using the rotating cat gif "Maxwell" as a place holder.
